We are very proud of the results that the dogs have achieved. From limited showing, the dogs have won some great awards. We have also have Wingdari Kelpies out with their owners doing agility and obedience.
My Kelpies do not go out to the show ring every weekend as they spend their time out on the property just being dogs.
The Australian Kelpie is the most true and honest dog - "what you see is what you get", the icon of the outback, the Aussie legend and the one and only Australian sheepdog.
Both here and overseas the Australian Kelpie is in high demand for working, agility, obedience, herding, confirmation ring, tracking but most of all a family pet, a true and devoted mate and best friend.

A few weeks ago I lost my beautiful boy "Sonny" - Aust. Ch. Mountainmist Sunaru. "Sonny" was on his way to his fourteenth birthday. I miss his smiling face and wagging tail. Always happy and a very easy going dog. "Sonny" is buried under his tree on the new property overlooking the valley where he loved to run free. A week later my beautiful old black girl "Bess", who had been battling cancer and age, also passed away. "Sonny" and "Bess" are buried side by side. To lose two dogs within such a sort time was devastating.
REST IN PEACE MY TWO OLD FRIENDS - over the Rainbow to run with your mates.

DOL POINT SCORE 2010
"Chelsea" has won the Best of Breed Section before and then had a break to have her puppies. What a great achievement for these two boys - "Chelsea's sons". Their mother won the Best of Breed and the boys first and second places in the Rising Star. This competition has Australian Kelpies from all over Australia competing for both the Best of Breed, the Rising Star and Top Breeder for the Australian Kelpie. Wingdari dogs won other placings in the various sections for DOL.
Here at Wingdari I am very proud my dogs. Many of the dogs do not go out every weekend but have achieved some great awards including winning Best of Breed at Sydney Royal 2010. We show for enjoyment and love the dogs for who they are.

This is the second time that "Vilkuu" has won this award at the International Show in Lahti and the third time being placed in a Herding Group in Finland. Apparently in Finland it is very rare that an Australian Kelpie is placed so high in a Herding Group.

A quote from Heli's email from Finland - "Judge was Robert Lott from Australia and he praised Vilkku a lot. After the ring he came to ask where the dog was from and after he heard that Vilkku was breeded by you, he praised your breeding work and said that your dogs are great kelpies. In the group ring we got a bit excited because of Vilkku`s success and started to cheer, and after that also other judges came to praise Vilkku."
